Best Scafell Pike Walk - The Corridor Route from Seathwaite to climb England's highest mountain summit in the Lake District

You’ll get incredible views like this on a Scafell Pike walk. There are quite a few walking routes up to Scafell Pike - but the Corridor Route from Seathwaite is the best way in my humble opinion and is often referred to as the Connoisseurs route (as those experienced in walking the various Scafell Pike routes will recommend this particular route). You may well only ever climb Scafell Pike once in your life, so make sure you choose this best walk route & way up, and not the more popular & shorter route from Wasdale which has a lot less variety.

A circular Ullswater Walk around Place Fell, via Sandwick, Patterdale & Boredale Hause

You will get stunning views of Patterdale & Glenridding and Ullswater on this walk - one of the Lake Districts most popular walks 

Buttermere walk - my favourite Lake District 'Lake' walk

Looking down Buttermere towards Fleetwith Pike on this cold winters day in February. You wouldn't think it on this photo but we'll experience all weathers in a couple of hours. This walk around Buttermere is my favourite 'flat' walk in the Lakes and is relatively easy, but gives plenty of different vantage points and settings and can be done in a couple of hours.

Walla Crag walk from Keswick to Ashness Bridge, via Castlehead & Derwent Water

What a view from the Castlehead viewpoint (near Keswick) looking over Derwent Water towards Borrowdale with Catbells to the right and Walla Crag just off to the left of the photo. This view has got to be one of my best in the whole of the Lake District

Ullswater walk to Gowbarrow Fell and Aira Force to get the best views of Ullswater

One of my best views in the Lake District looking over Ullswater from Green Hill below Gowbarrow Fell. There aren't many better views than this for me and when the tree's and bracken are golden in the Autumn and the sun is shining it's extra special. Haystacks walk - one of the Lake District's finest mountains and Alfred Wainwright's best, near Buttermere

Possibly the best walk in the Lake District?  On this walk to Haystacks you will see some of the best views in the Lake District. Here we can see Haystacks to the left with the sun setting behind Red Pike and Buttermere and Crummock water in the distance.

Helvellyn walk via Striding Edge & Swirral Edge, the best route and a Lake District classic

Helvellyn is one of the Lakes most popular walks and I've done it plenty of times. Striding Edge is the must-do route, and here we can see Striding Edge with Red Tarn to the left and Ullswater Lake just visible in the distance.

Fairfield circular walk, from Patterdale, Ullswater, Lake District Walks

Some of the photo highlights from one of the best, but more unknown walks in the Lake District:

Looking towards the summit of Fairfield - one of my best views from the days walking in the Lake District. The river in the foreground made for a nice little composition. It was also a great little place to stop off and grab a bite to eat. And because this Fairfield walking route isn't one of the most well-known - we didn't see anyone else in this valley.

Another of my best views of the day. While climbing to the summit of Fairfield - you get an excellent view over towards Helvellyn, which is the darker summit to the right - and Striding edge is coming in the picture from the left edge of the photo. The peak closest to us here is Dollywagon Pike, followed by Nethermost Pike - with Helvellyn in the far distance.
