The dramatic coastline view from Pettico Wick Bay - my favourite viewpoint on this walk |
A stunning walk on the Scotland coast at St Abb's near Eyemouth in the Scottish Borders
I'd had this place on my list for a while to visit, after seeing a superb image that I found out to be of Pettico Wick Bay and a recent trip to see family in Berwick-upon-Tweed gave the perfect opportunity. It doesn't take long upon passing he England-Scotland Border to get here and it's an excellent section of dramatic coastline which all forms a national Nature Reserve.
This particular walk is relatively short at 3.3 miles with some great views along the way along the cliff tops.
St. Abb's Walk overview:
WALK DISTANCE: 3.3 miles
WALK TIME: 1.5-2 hours
WALK DIFFICULTY: MODERATE

If you don't have a Phone Map App - I really recommend the one by Ordnance Survey. You can download route maps to your phone such as this one and the app will show you exactly where you are on the route even when you have no signal - so no more taking a wrong turn :-)
